British police say EU ‘made mistake’ over COVID-19 vaccines

The European Union has acknowledged that it “made a mistake” when it launched an emergency measure to control the export of COVID-19 vaccine, says a British policy.

The EU’s demand to control the flow of vaccines made within its borders has sparked controversy when officials threatened to stop the entry of inoculations into Northern Ireland – relaunching a tense dispute over the country’s status in a post-Brexit world.

British Cabinet Minister Michael Gove and the European Commission have agreed to end any disputes and allow vaccines to cross the border, putting Northern Irish people first, according to the BBC.

Gove said he was confident in the UK’s vaccine supply and was about to manage 15 million shots by February 15, the BBC reported.
