Britain will not welcome Prince Harry home: Brexit leader Nigel Farage

At least one Briton doesn’t think Prince Harry should rush home for his grandfather’s funeral.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage lifted his welcome mat in a tweet that struck Harry and his wife Meghan Markle for their concise statement about the death of Prince Philip on Friday, at the age of 99.

“For a couple who make public excitement like a career, this third-person statement and sentence shows contempt for this great man and monarchy,” Farage wrote on Twitter.

“The British public will not welcome Harry and Meghan back, not even for the funeral,” he added.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Saturday that Prince Harry, 36, will indeed travel home for the first time in just over a year to attend Prince Philip’s funeral – and that Markle will not be with him.

Seriously pregnant, 39-year-old Markle, who will give birth to the couple’s daughter this summer, will stay home in California on her doctor’s advice – even though she flew to New York for a baby shower while pregnant in seven months with his son Archie in February. 2019.
