The Conners has a busy third season. ABC comedy, a spin-off to Roseanne after the revival was canceled in 2018, it focuses on the struggles of the working class of the Conner family. Most of the original actors reprise their roles, including John Goodman as patriarch Dan, Sara Gilbert and Lecy Goranson as his daughters Darlene and, respectively, Becky, and Laurie Metcalf as his sister-in-law Jackie. Now, in season three, The Conners addressed the ongoing pandemic, while delivering major stories, including Becky breaking the sobriety and death of Darlene’s former enemy. The sitcom keeps up with its light humor, with the latest addition to the cast: Brian Austin Green.

As revealed in this exclusive clip below, Green joins the show as Jeff, Darlene’s new employee on the factory line he oversees at Wellman Plastics. He is late for his first day at work, due to a poor combination of absinthe and beer from the night before, apparently a preparation to celebrate a surfer friend who moved from Illinois. True, Darlene simply replies, “Do you have a surfing friend in Lanford? You have Google Maps, don’t you? ”

Green, who is the best known for his role as David Silver in Beverly Hills, 90210, also appeared in episodes of Smallville, Desperate Housewives, and Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. He will make his own The Conners debut in episode 17, entitled “Regrets, Rehabilitation and Real Estate Agents”, which will also see another appearance Candice Bergen’s beard.

“Regrets, rehabilitations and real estate agents” is broadcast Wednesday, April 14 at 9:00 PM ET on ABC.
