Although Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild came out almost four years ago, people continue to retreat incredible Acts in Game. Example: this player nails a Guardian with an arrow from more than 1,400 meters away.

Neko is a Wild breath Japanese player with an extensive resume of impressive achievements, many of which are listed on YouTube and Twitter pages. But the video they uploaded yesterday definitely takes the cake.

After jumping from the balcony of the Temple of Time at the beginning of the game, Neko shoots an ancient arrow into the sky, seemingly at random. It’s just following that arrow over a wide distance (and several loading areas) with one “Bullet Time Jump” that Neko is able to show the destiny of the projectile: an unsuspected Guardian, who is soon reduced to a pile of smoke and rubble.

Neko says the Guardian is more than 1,400 meters away from their starting position, but it’s not a number they guessed. Combining the Bird Man Research Study mini-game (which measures how far you can travel with Link’s para-glider) with a few bugs, Neko is able to come up with a fairly accurate distance for their sniper shots. Everything is explained in the video (be sure to enable English subtitles if you can’t read Japanese).

Wild breath is one of the best open-world games of all time and is a testament to how well Nintendo’s developers have mixed complicated mechanics with a rich physics-based environment that players continue to challenge in this way.
