I unlocked Beastmaster last week, a few hours after me Default brave II play through. While I was sorry to snatch the Asterisk crystal that provides the Anihal-speaking, animal-loving class after her boss’s fight (a story for another time, perhaps), any persistent guilt I had was immediately canceled. what changed the main character Gloria away from her duties as a magician of the more offensive-oriented archetype.
Beastmasters, who debuted in Default brave II, they are exactly as they sound: masters of beasts. During the fight, they are able to capture monsters for later use with special, job-specific abilities, and each stubborn enemy increases the functionality of the job. If used effectively (or, in my case, obsessively), Beast Master changes the dynamics of each battle, emphasizing catching as many monsters as possible, rather than killing them directly.
As with most game jobs, I jumped in Default brave II menu to check the Beastmaster immediately after it is unlocked. While the description on paper and the progress of the skills did not catch me, I was quickly struck by the potential of the Beast Master, after giving it a try in a few random battles. I started to add every orc rabbit and killer bunny I could find to Gloria’s virtual zoo, each giving her a new ability or spell to use in future battles.

Gloria quickly became the strongest and most trusted member of my party. I’m sure future jobs will have parallels with these useful skills, but for now, Beastmaster is proving useful in expanding my tactics.
But of all the Beast Master’s talents, I was most impressed with his ability to transform Default brave II in the Pokemon. Capturing monsters early is a balancing act of depleting your HP as much as possible without killing them. The weaker they are, the easier they are to catch. Raising the Beastmaster level with continued use, however, unlocks abilities such as Mercy Strike and Mercy Smash which, like False slide in the Pokemon in series, it never kills targets, but rather leaves them at 1 HP, giving you the perfect chance to add them to your arsenal. Most of the time, turning an opponent into an ally is simply a matter of giving the Beastmaster more action with the brave mechanic, hitting a monster with some of these safe attacks, and then capturing him in the same row.
Default brave II from all points of view, it is a massive game. We’ve already spent 12 hours exploring its world and haven’t finished chapter 1 yet. Despite all its complexities, Beastmaster is a perfect microcosm for Default brave II experience, an example of how only one class can open up endless possibilities in creating parties and refining strategy. And hey, even if Beastmaster loses his versatility later, the cute, furry costumes he gives to the main characters should at least give a moral boost during the tough fights.
