Advertising giant Take-Two Interactive Software has been an avid supporter of the Nintendo Switch, at least once the hardware has become the hottest selling console on the market. One of its versions on the system was The legendary Borderlands collection, which included the first two numbered games and Pre-Sequel; that is, three complete games and many to block.
Border countries 3however, it is another beast; as the latest entry in the series, it will naturally be the most challenging port on the hybrid console. However, a PEGI rating for Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut (hat tip at Stealth40K for spot), suggests a future Switch version.
However, there are some oddities. The name may suggest a full edition of the game with all the DLC, but this is Gearbox and Borderlands, so it’s actually only the second part of the game second seasonal permit. It adds a lot of content and fixes to existing versions, but that’s it. You can also notice the oddity in the rating that says it came out today for Switch, which is clearly not correct; there could be an administrator error sending evaluations.
This could be an indication that some kind of edition of Borderlands 3 is heading to the Switch in the future and would no doubt be pushed by Nintendo itself as a pretty big deal. Or it could be a slider of the mouse cursor when Gearbox asks for an age rating on the DLC.
It certainly makes sense for Gearbox and Take Two to push the boat and take Borderlands 3 to the Switch, although this will be a technical challenge. We’ll just have to wait and see if it shows up.
