Bobby Brown found out it was claustrophobic for the masked singer

You’d think that if you lived a life like Bobby Brown’s, you’d run out of things to find out about yourself. For better or worse, the guy lived. But, apparently, Bobby Brown didn’t know he was claustrophobic until he evolved as a crab in season 5 of The masked singer. While signing “Give It to Me Baby” by Rick James, Crab ran away from the stage due to a panic attack. Talking to Panel, Brown said: “I was just overwhelmed playing Rick James’ song and I couldn’t move as I normally would and try to breathe at the same time.”

Brown was always known for his energetic dance during the show, and the fight with the Crab costume was more than he would have bargained for. “I wear light clothes when I play normally, and this had so many layers that it forced me to move the way I do,” Brown said. “But it was fun to have it and I just had to deal with the fact that it was hard and restrictive.” The challenge was a little too big for Brown and he was sent home with Tamera Mowry-Housley’s Seashell.

This was not the only surprise in the two-episode episode of The Masked Singer. Guest judge Rita Wilson sang a piece from Naughty By Nature’s “Hip Hop Hooray” because … could she? Wilson seems to have memorized rap since he had to perform it Genius boy, on Club AV. “You may not know this about me,” Wilson told the chameleon, “but I can spit some flow.” I didn’t know that about you, Rita. I did not do. The world is full of surprises.
