Blood producer Teruyuki Toriyama is leaving SIE Japan for new projects

Teruyuki Toriyama has announced that he will leave Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan at the end of the year. Speaking on Twitter earlier today, Toriyama thanked the fans for their support and mentioned that he intends to continue producing games in the future.

“I will leave SIE WWS JAPAN Studio at the end of December.” Toriyama announced. “Thank you to all the users who have supported JAPAN Studio so far! I will continue to take on the challenge of creating new gaming IP addresses in my new company and ask for your continued support.”

Toriyama’s impressive resume includes the producer’s duties in the gloomy adventure of 2015 Transmitted by blood, and more recently Astro Bot and The souls of the demon for PlayStation 5. Toriyama is one of several producers who left SIE Japan, which also recently saw the departure Gravity Rush designer Keiichiro Toyama, The last Guardian producer Kazunobu Sato and Siren series planner Junya Okura, all gone to found the new company Bokeh Game Studio.
