Black Ops fans’ favorite maps are apparently back in Season 3 of the Cold War

New rumors from the Call of Duty community point to some new maps in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3, considered Echelon and Standoff.

Black Ops Cold War continued the recent trends of Call of Duty and added some favorite maps of fans in the multiplayer rotation. Among other things, we saw that Raid and Express fell into rotations of multiplayer and competitive games. However, we can expect more to come.

In January, leaks from BOCW claimed that another 8 planned remakes were made after the addition of Express.

Now, with Season 3 on the horizon, we’ve been given a few unconfirmed names of the returning maps, and one seems to be another remake of a classic Black Ops 2.

The leaks come as TheGhostofMW on Twitter, which in the past correctly removed Calling Cards and other items from the game.

“This is not from my usual source,” they warned, “so don’t take this 100% for sure, but I was told” Echelon and Standoff “for S3 maps. Again, this does not come from my main squeezing. ”

It looks like the leak came from a slightly different source than usual, so fans should definitely take it with a pinch of salt. Until the maps are officially confirmed by Treyarch or Activision, they remain subject to change.

Standoff, however, would match past leaks pointing to fan-favorite remakes. It appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and is widely considered one of the best CoD maps of all time.

Echelon, on the other hand, looks like it will be a completely new map, similar to Apocalypse that was added in season 2. Apparently located on a construction site, Echelon has been in the game’s files since season 1 and is thought to be similar to BO2’s vertigo.

If they come with the launch of season 3, we can expect both around April 21.
