One of the great new multiplayer games of the year has come out, but inevitably, some of your friends will not have dropped the money for it yet. Well, don’t worry, you can show them the strings for free from now until Thursday, in the multiplayer Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. You can download Cold War to play holiday playlists, standard Deathmatch, Prop Hunt and other modes for free this week.
The free week comes in two phases, starting with a handful of game modes and playlists this weekend and expanding with a few options next week. At this point you can enter and play Team Deathmatch, Domination, 2v2 Gunfight, the Nuketown Holiday 24/7 playlist and the Raid the Mall playlist. Starting Monday, December 21, you will also have access to Prop Hunt, Combined Arms: Hardpoint and Fireteam: Dirty Bomb. The free game ends on Thursday, December 24th.

He wasn’t as interested in the giant 40-person team-based mode, Dirty Bomb, saying that “every second I spent in this game mode was painful, in part because it never seemed to end,” but mostly because it felt like a phone call – in taking Warzone. “Maybe you have a few good rounds of props hunting in place when it’s Monday, hm?”
Whether you’ve downloaded the Cold War for free or already owned it, Activision says you’ll also get a double xp, an xp weapon and a battle pass from today until Monday, 21.
