Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Players have faced major issues with locks on the Xbox Series X, but it looks like a solution could have been discovered by a Reddit poster. According to the user EmadBella, blockages can be predicted by framerate problems that start at the beginning of a match, and the control does not work. According to the poster, players can prevent the game from crashing by pressing the Home button on the controller until the system shutdown message appears. Players must then press the “B” button to return to the game and should then notice that the framerate and noise problems have returned to normal. As a result, no accidents will occur!

In the comments posted, several users agreed that this tactic seems to solve the problem and prevent the game from crashing. The whole “repair” should take at least a few seconds and is at least worth trying for anyone who starts having problems when a match starts. Obviously, this is not yet an ideal solution, and players should not go through these efforts, but until Activision and Treyarch come up with a permanent solution, it could be a major help! Unfortunately, Treyarch is well aware of the gaming issues on the Xbox Series X hardware and seems to be working hard on a solution.
The accidents on the Xbox Series X have been well publicized since the game’s launch in November. A Reddit poster claimed that the problem was so serious that it broke their Xbox Series X console. If this fix works just as well, and the posters claim it works, it could be a major sigh of relief for gamers concerned about the need. to send their systems back to Microsoft for repair!
