Black Ops Cold War and Warzone in season three • Eurogamer.net

Activision has announced the roadmap for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone season three.

The titles are confirmation of a refreshment of the map (which we know has a theme from the 1980s) for Verdansk and a limited time mode called Hunt for Adler. This LTM sees the Cold War characters from Black Ops arriving in Verdansk in an attempt to find out where Adler is.

The second film season, which sets all this out, is below:

Activision also teased Operation Rapid Sunder throughout Wednesday, April 21st. This is the event that ties in with the nut of the current map of Verdansk and puts an end to the zombie invasion.

Here is the official speech:

“The situation in Verdansk has reached a critical level. It seems that the battle zone has become too dangerous for even a Level 1 Operator to survive. Is it an imminent conflagration? The answer is still unknown, although it is recommended to delete your program for the week and get ready for a crescendo of total chaos in the war zone. Make sure you’re available for Operation Rapid Sunder throughout Wednesday, April 21st and beyond. “

Three new operators are coming to both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Wraith, who is arriving in launch week, is a former Norwegian intelligence specialist in the field of alpine warfare who became an agent of Perseus. Wraith is available at level zero of the battle pass from season three and has a legendary skin at level 100.

Roman “Knight” Gray is another Perseus agent operator who arrives in season. Knight is a former MI6 wet works agent born in Dublin.

2

Former hitman Antonov is the third new operator to join season three. Knight and Antonov are premium DLC.

Meanwhile, Captain Price arrives in the Cold War of the Black Ops as “Price ’84”, which is yet another example of a collision of the Black Ops and Modern Warfare series (all are canon in the same chronology now). The ’84 price is free for all owners of the Cold War Black Ops.

Six new weapons are coming as part of season three. PPSh-41 SMG, which launches live launch week, is a fast, high-capacity fire that is free at level 15 of the third season’s battle pass.

The K31 Swiss Rifle Rifle, which will also be launched the week of launch, has high accuracy as well as fast targeting speeds.

The ballistic knife is a new melee weapon launched in the Black Ops Cold War launch week and mid-season in Warzone. It was first introduced in the original Black Ops game, although this version was used in the late 1970s by Soviet forces. The spring knife launcher can be used either as a melee weapon or to quietly shoot blades with lethal recovery.

The CARV.2 tactical rifle has fallen out as it goes out in the middle of the season. This tactical rifle with explosive fire is similar to the M16, with a high power failure, high speed.

The AMP63 pistol (in season) is the fourth side weapon in the Black Ops Cold War and is described as a cross between an automatic-loading pistol and a fully automatic SMG. Yes, it’s another fully automatic pistol. Hopefully it doesn’t have the same impact on the meta as Sykov.

The sixth and final new weapon is the baseball bat, which is a new melee in the season.

Get the ballistic knife, CARV.2, AMP63 and baseball bat during season three in one of two ways: complete an in-game challenge to get the free base weapon, or pick up a package with a Blueprint version when it appears in the Store.

Black Ops Cold War receives four new multiplayer maps: Yamantau (6v6, launch week); Diesel (6v6 / 2v2 / 3v3, launch week); Standoff (6v6, in season); and Duga (multi-team, in season).

Duga is available to play in Zombies Outbreak mode at launch in the first half of season three.

The Sticks and Stones mode launches at the beginning of season three. Here, each player starts the match with the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow, the ballistic knife and a Tomahawk.

The Cold War Black Ops also gets a new score on season three. Strafe Run makes you use a pair of fighter jets to shower lead and missiles on the map. This mid-level scorestreak has a longer active period and a higher killing potential compared to Napalm Strike.

There is also a new cargo truck vehicle available in all modes with multiple teams. It comes with a mounted machine gun and can be played on Ruka, Alpine and Golova at launch and in Duga later in the season.

Onto Zombies. Expect a new field upgrade called Toxic Growth (enemies moving through it have halved their speed of movement and suffer toxic damage until they leave the affected area). The aforementioned Duga is a new Outbreak region available at the launch of season three. The new Outbreak vehicles are the High Speed Fast Attack Vehicle (FAV) and the cargo truck.

There are also new levels of prestige. Season three offers four additional prestige to achieve in the first 200 levels, as well as a new weapons plan. This means that there are now 15 prestige levels in total.
