Biden fails on COVID according to the standards he has put forward as a candidate

President Biden argues that there is “nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the coming months” – which is the exact opposite of what presidential candidate Joe Biden promised voters during the 2020 campaign. In candidate’s plan Biden insisted that “COVID-19’s trajectory in America is going in the wrong direction,” and only he could fix it.

Biden’s ‘plan’ boiled down to a slew of vague promises that would be implemented to correct the ‘Trump fiasco’, such as speeding up vaccine development, producing more masks, and pressuring governors to mask mandates. Biden repeatedly promised to change the trajectory of COVID-19. In a platitudinous speech on Oct. 23, Biden promised to “immediately implement a national strategy that will position our country to finally get ahead of this virus and get our lives back.”

“Immediately” is an adverb meaning immediately, immediately. It doesn’t mean you have to wait to take credit when Trump-era vaccines kick in.

Biden constantly underestimated the speed at which medical technology would evolve. Every time former President Donald Trump promised that a vaccine would be available by the end of the year, “fact-checkers” were used to claim this was a lie. On December 23, the United States was the world leader in vaccinations, with more than a million people vaccinated.

This is despite the fact that Democrats like then-candidate Kamala Harris made a cynical party attempt during the presidential campaign to undermine confidence in the government by suggesting that the efficacy and safety of vaccines would be compromised under Team Trump.

Now CNN reports that Team Biden “has not inherited any coronavirus vaccination plan from the Trump administration.” An anonymous source claims that “we don’t need to rework anything. . . . We will have to build everything from scratch. ”

Why does CNN allow anonymity in a piece bashing the previous records? Most likely because the claim is clearly untrue. Even coronavirus tsar Dr. Anthony Fauci refuted the idea. Indeed, the vaccine’s existence also refutes the idea.

But again, if there was no vaccination plan – or, as is the case, we need a better plan – why wasn’t the Biden administration finished with its own plan? The president had promised to “seek governors and mayors and other leaders of both parties, from every state, territory, and tribe, and to consult with education, technology, business, and workers leaders” – everyone but your sister, really – so he did that be “ready to go and fight the virus as our next president.”

The phrase “hit the ground running” means starting a new activity immediately and with great enthusiasm.

At a press conference on Thursday, Biden claimed that the Trump administration’s distribution of coronavirus vaccines had been a “dismal failure” and set a target of vaccinating 100 million Americans, or about 1 million people a day, by the end of April.

But the day before Biden made his promise, 1.6 million doses had already been administered in the United States, according to Bloomberg. It is hoped that Biden’s plan is not to delay vaccinations, and that his “plan” was just a fumble to convince an obedient press to give him credit for existing achievements.

When a reporter backed off cautiously and noted how unambitious the government’s goals were, Biden fired back: “When I announced it, you all said it wasn’t possible. Come on, give me a break, man. Who did? The Trump administration’s ‘plan’ showed that the United States would administer at least 170 million doses by the end of April.

I am skeptical that Team Trump could have done a lot more to stop the spread of the new coronavirus. Almost everything we’ve done has been reactive. Almost every economic and political system has also struggled to contain the virus. Almost every state, blue and red. However, that was not the view of the Democrats, who blamed Trump and Republicans for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians.

Biden has more power than Trump – and all the new prez has done is fend off.
