The American diplomat Roberta Jacobson, who was the ambassador to Mexico between 2016 and 2018, will be in charge of the administration of the border relationship by Joe Biden’s administration, his chief adviser to Latin America confirmed this Monday, Juan Sebastián González.

Jacobson becomes coordinator of the southwest border in the National Security Council. It is a newly created position from which he will coordinate matters related to the national security of Mexico and Central America.
