It looks like Mookie Betts will avoid going through the disabled list after the X-rays on her right forearm were negative. On Monday, Betts was hit by a 95 mph pitch from Rafael Montero in the Dodgers’ 4-3 loss to the Mariners.
Betts was not in the group for Tuesday’s game in Seattle, while he continues to receive treatment. Manager Dave Roberts said the policeman arrived at the stadium “feeling great” but “painful” and said Betts could come into play as a pinch runner.
“I just wanted to make sure my body was athletic and it felt good about it,” Roberts said. “I think I could come out as a runner if the situation justifies it. It shouldn’t be a problem. I don’t know how he would react by shooting or hitting. “
