The crisis that footballer Freddy Guarín suffered last Thursday at his family’s home in Medellín, for which he was detained by the Police, gave rise to criticism and accusations that were tried to counter them in his environment.
The player himself demanded respect for his privacy and acknowledged, in a statement, that he is indeed living in a difficult personal situation, about which his aunt, Margarita Vásquez, spoke.
“I apologize to the country for this situation,” were the words of the Millionaires’ relative in an interview given to Caracol Radio.
The woman explained that Guarín “loves his parents, does everything for us to be well. He was always present with our needs” and that “the blood that was on his clothes is from his hands, he broke them with the pot”. Alluding to the video that was widely broadcast about the family fight in which the footballer was involved.
“That video shows a lot of negative things, he is calm at the moment. He is reviewing his life, he is meeting him again … Not because he is my nephew, but Fredy is a good person,” he added.
For Mrs. Vásquez, the situation her nephew is experiencing is “a deep pain” and a sum of emotions that has affected her for several years: “it is an accumulation of repressed feelings that she has experienced, so many abuses. people who come to his life to make use of what he has and manages … He had repressed emotions. All that happened was an accumulation of situations that come from the past “, he commented, without specifying what those personal problems are, that among other things they were without training for a few days.
The footballer’s relative came to the conclusion that she and her family are grateful to Millonarios: “Fredy loves Millonarios very much, because his father loves the team, since he was a child, he has always been a fan”.
