Better late than never.
More than eight years after she initially gave up, Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have finally completed their divorce – news that appears as rumors are circulating that she is engaged to her current boyfriend, Paul Bernon.
Page six confirmed that a judge signed the divorce on January 20.
Frankel and Hoppy – who are the parents of 10-year-old daughter Bryn – married in 2010 and gave up in December 2012. Founder Skinnygirl filed for divorce a month later.
But their divorce and custody battles – which have included ugly accusations in court – have been raging for years.
Page six revealed exclusively in August 2019 that Hoppy and Frankel were still legally married. A divorce decision could not be issued at that time due to a protection order in force against Hoppy, who was accused of harassing and prosecuting Frankel in 2017, which led to Bravolebrity requesting a change of custody on to Bryn.
Hoppy agreed to a deal that required him to stay away from Frankel for six months to dismiss the allegations.
Then, in September 2020, Frankel appeared on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” and said she couldn’t think of marrying her boyfriend Paul Bernon again and again because she was still related to Hoppy.
“I’m still married,” Frankel, 50, admitted to a shocked Cohen. “Crickets again. And the scene! And we’re back! ”
Now that Frankel de Hoppy’s 50-year-old divorce is over, she is free to marry Bernon, whom she reunited with earlier this year.
Maybe the wedding bells are already on the horizon. BStrong founder sparked engagement rumors after she was photographed wearing a massive diamond ring on her left hand just last week.
Bernon and Frankel started dating in 2018, after the death of her boyfriend, Dennis Shields. They broke up in the fall of 2020, and those inside told us then that “it’s because of the distance, but you know Bethenny,” but now they’ve reunited.
