When Andy Dalton decided to sign with the Chicago Bears, one of the reasons he was assured he would be the team’s starting lineup in 2021.
It wasn’t a decision that went well with the fans, especially considering that Bears tried to change for Russell Wilson before the Seattle Seahawks closed the door … for now. Which made its way to Dalton to Chicago.
But at least we won’t have to endure another defensive competition during training camp.
Just days after Dalton explained he was brought in as the headline, Bears made it official on Twitter with a photoshopped photo of Dalton in a Bears uniform with the caption “QB1.”

As you can imagine, Twitter had a lot to say about Chicago appointing Dalton as a starting quarterback in March. And while it was fun, it certainly wasn’t the reaction the Bears’ social media team had imagined.
I’m only here to read the comments 💀

Look, I wouldn’t promote Andy Dalton as my starting quarterback, but it’s not absolutely absurd that he’s one. https://t.co/PrjkzlAg5w

I’m sorry for the social media operator who had to photoshop this and send it to Twitter. You matter and we’re here for you. You better deserve https://t.co/5ZDMimsLVq
