Bayonetta 3 Creator I like fans to “forget” about the Nintendo Switch game for now

I’ve heard a lot about Bayonet 3 in the last month or so. Just a few weeks ago, one of the main developers of the PlatinumGames title expressed that he would like to update fans on the status of the project at some point in 2021. However, not long after he made this statement, it sounds like the studio member in question now has another suggestion in mind for fans.

Speaking to VGC in a new interview, PlatinumGames founder Hideki Kamiya said things could be easier if those looking forward to Bayonet 3 she could forget about him completely for the moment. “I understand he’s driving fans crazy!” Kamiya said about the lack of news about the game. “Given this, my suggestion would be that maybe we should all reset and forget Bayonet 3. When something finally happens, it will be a nice surprise, won’t it? ”

Despite encouraging fans to eliminate briefly Bayonet 3 from their thoughts, Kamiya had to know, for the most part, positive news about the project. Although not directly engaged, Kamiya said there is a good chance that 2021 will finally be the year we hear more about the long-awaited sequel. “It’s not really our position to say, but … it’s January. We need to get something out, right? Kamiya asked. “I think it’s safe to expect something to come out. What I am saying is still much of the year. ”

While it may not be so appealing for fans to “forget” a game they’re looking forward to, Kamiya probably has a point in this case. The more fans who are excited about the game can stop stopping when it arrives, the more exciting it will be once a new trailer or information inevitably appears.

For now, all we know for sure about Bayonet 3 is that it is set to be released at an indefinite time, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. If we finally get to hear more about the game later this year, we’ll keep you posted here on ComicBook.com.
