BASEBALL – The stars triumph and advance to the semifinals

The stars have already landed in the semifinals.

And with their 2-0 victory yesterday against the chosen one, they left Quisqueya Juan Marichal for the semi-long series.

From the hand of Andy Otero the Stars advanced to the semifinals, after closing Escogido 2-0.

With this success, Paquidermos got his hands on the mini-series (3-2) that they made against the hairy men and from now on they will face Gigantes del Cibao in one of the two semifinals, which will be agreed at 7- 4. In the other, the Eagles will clash with the Bulls.

The left-hander was brilliant in the six innings in which he remained in the box, allowed only two shots, without a ticket and ventilated seven, ended his presentation by withdrawing the last 11 confrontations.

His work was so impressive that during his stay in the box, the Chosen One could not place a member in the scoring position.

After completing their work, Edwin Uceta and Matt Pobereyko were tasked with performing the superb pitching task for Stars.

Enny Romero, Escogido’s owner, was a worthy opponent of Otero and who remained 5.0 acts in the box, allowed one round, three shots, gave two walks and ventilated seven. Otero was the winner, Pobereyko scoring the save. The counterattack was for Romero.

This failure of the Lions leaves the Quisqueya Stadium Juan Marichal without any of its representatives in the semifinals, because a few days ago Licey became the first team to be disqualified.

While the Stars pitching had an indecipherable performance, Junior Lake and Lewin Díaz were tasked with towing one lap each to provide the offensive support the team needed.

Lake was chosen in the fourth to push Robinson Cano, who had reached the base with a double to the left.

During the ninth, Eric Filia produced one, was replaced by Emilio Gustave, who broke the middle and entered the race for Diaz’s unstoppable field on the right.

The best offensive players for the Stars were Canó with a double and a single; Lake and Díaz with their unstoppable producers, Filia, Gustavo Núñez and Jeremy Peña, each inconceivable.

For Ales, Ivan Castillo produced two undisputed ones, Miguel Gömez and Luis Liberato each.
