Before packing again to pursue his professional goals, basketball player José Juan Barea dedicated a special time to his daughter to seal their paternal relationship.
The elegantly dressed bar surprised Paulina with a gift ring that symbolized the eternal relationship between father and daughter. Paulina, dressed as a princess, swore to be “Daddy’s uncle”, as well as a girl obedient to her mother Viviana, fraternal with her brother Jose Juan and engaged in his education.
The moment was captured on camera and shared by Barea on Instagram.
Barea will spend a second long period without sharing directly with his family, because he has made a basketball commitment in Spain. He will play this Saturday in Madrid with the Estudiantes team, which belongs to the famous ACB league.
It will be his second absence from home in a few months, based on the period he spent last year in the NBA “bubble” that lasted the summer season.
The Puerto Rican coach has signed for Spain because he has goals to return to play in the NBA, after the Dallas Mavericks released him before the start of the current season. After running out of contract, Barea returned to the island but continued to train in anticipation of an offer from another NBA team, but has so far received no offers.
In addition to helping the Estudiantes team, Barea wants to keep fit by playing in Spain to be able to play if he is finally made an offer from the NBA in the middle of the season. In fact, the contract he signed in Spain with the Estudiantes club contains a clause that gives him free exit if an offer appears in the NBA.
Barea said he hopes his family will visit him in Madrid, finally in the current season, which will last until May.
