Baptist Health South Florida opens a limited number of vaccine appointments – NBC 6 South Florida

Shortly after launching its programming link on Friday morning, Baptist Health South Florida occupied more than 13,000 vaccine meeting places in about two hours.

“All our COVID-19 vaccination scheduling slots have been completed and we are not taking any new appointments at this time,” Baptist Health said in a statement. “Additional vaccination sites will be available soon in our service area and more programming hours will be available as we receive additional vaccines.

Baptist Health South Florida announced on Friday that it will launch an online platform for eligible community members to schedule a meeting to obtain a COVID-19 vaccine.

Starting Friday, January 8, people age 65 and older or at increased risk for serious illness caused by the virus will be able to book appointments on baptisthealth.net for slots starting Monday, January 11.

Baptist Health will provide 12,000 meeting slots to get started and wait to add availability and locations.
