Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson takes care of potential Buffalo Bills first snow game

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Baltimore Ravens defender Lamar Jackson has never played a game on the snow and does not want that series to end in Saturday’s AFC divisional match in Buffalo against Bills.

Asked about his experience with playing on the snow, Jackson said: “Zero. Saturday would be the first time I play football on the snow, if it happens. Hopefully not.”

As of Tuesday, there is a 40% chance of snow showers at Bills Stadium on Saturday night. The accumulation could reach one centimeter.

Jackson, who grew up in South Florida, said he remembers seeing snow for the first time in Louisville.

“We had a snowball fight,” Jackson said, “so it’s totally different from playing in it.”

Initial left-back Bradley Bozeman echoed Jackson’s feelings about playing a post-season in the snow.

“Big boys in slippery situations are not always a good thing,” Bozeman said.

Jackson, the current NFL MVP, could wear a glove in Buffalo, but it wouldn’t be for weather reasons. He wore a glove on his left hand in the second half of the 20-13 win with the Ravens wild card over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday because he blocked his thumb.

“I’m fine,” Jackson said.

Jackson was not included in the Ravens’ injury report on Tuesday, when the team organized a walk.
