In January, Switch owners were able to download a demo for Balan Wonderworld, the upcoming 3D Square Enix platform directed by Sonic, Yuji Naka. Unfortunately, despite the hype surrounding the game up to that point, the demo didn’t impress exactly.
All is not lost, however, as the game’s producer, Noriyoshi Fujimoto, detailed a one-day patch that will aim to address some from feedback received from players who experienced the demo. Here’s what Fujimoto has to say:
“Remaining true to the nature of Balan Wonderworld, I would like us to follow in the footsteps of the enigmatic master, Balan, and find balance in our hearts. Especially when it comes to approaching the feedback received from our demo.
There has been a wide range of opinions and responses to the demonstration, and unfortunately, at the current stage of development, it is simply not feasible to reflect every feedback in the game. However, to give you all a more balanced gaming experience, we will be implementing a one-day patch for the full game.
Specifically, this patch will adjust movement controls, camera movement and rebalance difficulty. It’s a little over a week before the launch, so I hope you all enjoy the world of Wonderworld to your liking! “
His words come from a new blog post on the Square Enix website, which also offers a recap of the main themes of the game, if you need an update.
“On the surface, Balan Wonderworld is a magical platformer located on 12 colorful worlds, born from the hearts of different people. In these worlds, players must make full use of over 80 different costumes and their various abilities to overcome obstacles, puzzles and enemies and finally restore them. happiness back in the Wonderworld. “
The game launches on Switch on March 26, so it won’t be long before we can see the final product – and this patch from day one – in action. We will have a full review for you on the site as soon as possible.
