Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 starts this weekend

Now with Hades added

It’s January and you know what that means, it’s time again for some of the wisest players in business to come together for a non-stop marathon of fantastic game action.

The great games made quickly are available again and will see players from all over the world gathering to show off their skills on a lot of titles (and not so great). While the world remains stifled by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, AGDQ 2021 has moved to an online capacity – just like SGDQ 2020 – but that doesn’t mean you can’t tune in and follow all the actions from your own comfort and safety. your homes.

This year’s program sees recent recordings such as Hades, Carrion, and Sekiro: The shadows die twice rub your shoulders with a lot of regular AGDQ from Metroid, Castlevania, The Legend of Zelda and Sonic the Hedgehog franchises. Entries from Final Fantasy and silent Hill series are present, as are AGDQ pillars, such as Mirror’s Edge, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.

As the week progresses, viewers can donate to the event, with all proceeds going back to the Cancer Prevention Foundation, which continues its research and development efforts to make revolutionary advances in cancer healing. Last year’s marathon set a record $ 3.1 million, with the AGDQ event growing cumulatively over $ 15 million since its inception in 2010.

As always, viewers can expect competitions, gifts, interviews and daily summaries. While the event could have changed online, the GDQ team is still working tirelessly to provide a captivating and engaging week of festivities with all the expected passages, despite the limitations imposed by the current health crisis. Good luck to all presenters, crew members and runners. Stay safe and have a great week!

AGDQ 2021 runs between January 3 and January 10. See all the actions on the official GDQ Twitch channel.
