DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – If you have to hit the road in Dallas on Monday, the Public Works Department has 32 sanding trucks that will run non-stop operations until Monday night.
They will focus on streets, bridges, slopes and slick areas of the road, being reported by residents up to 311. Twenty-eight additional trucks are waiting and ready to go if conditions worsen.
If the DART line is your main mode of transportation, you’ll need to find an alternative. For the safety of customers and employees, services are suspended until Wednesday.

“Frozen switches, frozen passenger doors are the big concern,” said spokesman Gordon Shattles. “If we have to close these things, the last thing we want is a passenger who is left on a platform at this time.”
DART will maintain its bus service, but will run on a Saturday schedule, with limited service on routes 63 and 362. It will also run another 14 shuttle bus routes.
“We want to make sure people stay warm while they wait for their buses, so we’ve reopened the transit centers,” Shattles said.
As for air travel, if you have a flight tomorrow, check the airline in advance to see its condition and take extra time to get to the airport.
