This is how Resolution 531 published in the Official Gazette with the signature of Minister Ginés González García and reaches the health agents registered in the Register of Prepaid Medical Entities (RNEMP).

Consequently, health insurance agencies and medical entities Prepaid must increase the values ​​of the remuneration of health care benefits granted to their beneficiaries and users by providers registered in the National Register of Health Service Superintendency Providers by 3.5%.

In those considered of the measure, it is stated that “Representatives of the sector have expressed concern about the critical condition of most suppliers and emphasized the need to increase the value of the remuneration they receive for the benefits they offer, in order to alleviate this situation and guarantee its continuity “.

Observing the variation in health costs, it was noted that “the higher costs of the sector and the valuable and necessary investments that suppliers had to make to deal with the pandemic and to avoid the collapse of the health system were also , accompanied by reduced rates of use of other common and / or routine benefits not related to Covid-19 and delayed on the basis of the health priority of this disease. “

This “has led to lower economic income for such benefits, while the fixed costs of the care structure provided for this purpose have remained virtually unchanged, or even increased,” says the resolution published on Saturday.
