Morrison’s comments came hours after the Australian newspaper and Channel 10 reported allegations and images of an anonymous whistleblower about the naughty behavior of male government staff in Parliament.
They presented men filming themselves, having solo sex, including on the desk of a woman in Parliament.
A member of government staff has been removed from office, a government minister said on Tuesday.
Morrison described the report as “disgusting” and said he would talk to all government staff on Tuesday to remind them of their responsibilities.
The issue prompted tens of thousands of people to gather around Australia last week and led to a drop in Morrison’s position in opinion polls.
Morrison sought to defend the government’s actions to improve gender equality, but on Tuesday admitted that there was widespread dissatisfaction.
“I admit that a lot of Australians, especially women, I think I haven’t heard, and that upsets me a lot,” Morrison told Canberra reporters.
“We need to do better … we need to put this house in order.”
However, he made few concrete proposals to improve the workplace culture in parliament, insisting that changes will be announced in the coming weeks.
