Aurora attorneys resume vaccinations at Chicago suburban hospital after four paused reactions

LIBERTYVILLE, IL. – Attorney Aurora will resume vaccinations at one of her Illinois hospitals after four reactions triggered a warning break.

Hospital officials said he discontinued vaccinations to his team at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL on Friday after four people reacted after receiving the shot.

Officials said one person had a severe reaction. The hospital observed the patient overnight and has since sent that person home. Otherwise, officials say the three people’s reactions were “mild”.

Dr. Robert Citronberg is the executive medical director of infectious diseases and prevention at Aurora Health Attorney and said he spoke with one of the people who had a mild reaction on Saturday.

“I went to the doctor today who feels great and said he is 100% behind the continuous vaccination of our population, knowing how important this is to end our pandemic, he has no hesitation,” Citronberg said.

Lawyer Aurora only interrupted vaccinations at Condell. He never stopped vaccinating at any of his Wisconsin locations.

Dr. Citronberg said he consulted with the Centers for Disease Control, as well as state and local health authorities, and all approved the system’s plan to continue vaccinations on Sunday.

Citronberg said he was confident there were no supply problems because he said vaccines in the same batch had come to other health facilities in Lake County, Illinois, and no one had reported problems since then.

“We will have occasional reactions, there is no doubt and I feel that we are adequately prepared to deal with these situations if and when they arise,” Citronberg said.

He said lawyer Aurora Health administered about 6,000 doses of the vaccine to his workers this week and said there were no plans to slow it down.

“The vaccine is the only way out of the pandemic right now, and we expect there to be some occasional safety issues with the vaccine,” Citronberg said. “But in short, this is a miracle that we have this vaccine, the Pfizer vaccine, we have another vaccine next week. It is a miracle that we have this and with the successful vaccination of the population, we can end this pandemic in the next few months. . “

On Saturday afternoon, a CDC committee recommended the Moderna vaccine for emergency use.
