Atlético Nacional: Hernán Ramírez Villegas de Pereira will host Copa Libertadores 2021 | Colombian football | Betplay League

On Thursday, Atlético Nacional reported that it will host its first match for Group F of the Copa Libertadores 2021 against the Catholic University of Chile at the Hernán Ramírez Villegas Stadium in Pereira.

“Atlético Nacional informs the public and its fans across the country that the Hernán Ramírez Villegas Stadium in Pereira will be the stage where our team will play its first home game against the Catholic University of Chile, as is the case with Conmebol Libertadores Group Stage.” said the club in a statement.

The Antioquia group highlighted the goodwill of the capital Risaralda, as well as the government agencies in Manizales, Envigado and Itagüí, cities and stadiums where they had contacted, but Conmebol opted for Pereira.

“We would like to thank Pereira City Hall and Deportivo Pereira for hosting the first meeting of this major continental competition. We also thank the mayors of Manizales, Itagüí and Envigado, as well as the Once Caldas, Leones and Envigado Fútbol Club clubs, for he put his sports seats as alternatives to play the match, “he added.

Finally, the team committed to complying with biosafety protocols to meet this commitment. “We hope to comply with the requirements that represent our country at the international level and we ratify our commitment to respect
biosecurity protocols defined for this purpose, “he said.
