Assassin Creed Valhalla fans are furious at the current state of the game following a new discovery on the game’s Reddit page. As Reddit points out – which quickly moved to the top of the page – there are currently nine different sets of armor in the game store, locked behind microtransactions, which means there are about as many sets of armor locked behind microtransactions, how many are in the whole basic game. In a free-to-play game or even in a multiplayer game with a long queue, this is not something out of the ordinary, but this being the case for a premium single player game is not as common and it is enough to have angry fans.
Amplifying the problem, according to Reddit, is that all of this came before Ubisoft added any significant DLC or content to the game. Now, Valhalla will get DLC just like Origins and Odyssey – the most recent previous entries in the series – he did. And both Origins and Odyssey had similar microtransactions, but looks and sounds Valhalla it is somewhat more blatant in this respect.
Unfortunately, for Ubisoft, the Reddit post didn’t just go to the top of the game’s Reddit page. It was distributed on other major Reddit pages and is now being picked up by the media. Despite this, Ubisoft has not yet addressed the feedback. And right now, it doesn’t look like that. However, if it does, we will be sure to update this story with all that is offered, obvious or not.
It’s not the first time assassin’s Creed was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, but from the moment of the revelation until now, it went pretty smoothly for Valhalla.
