Assassin’s Creed Valhalla begins the Yule Festival

Vikings fighting in the snow.

December is on the right track, which means games across the country are releasing snow and limited holiday-themed events. This includes Ubisoft’s Viking Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which begins a Yule festival with an extended settlement, new armor, and several new holiday missions.

For a start, your settlement has grown, introducing a place to host these seasonal festivities. There are several games to participate in, including drunken fights, a drinking contest and an archery contest. You will win chips for participating in events that you can trade to a festival trader for rewards, such as the Mōdraniht ceremonial armor set and some seating decorations.

Ubisoft notes that in order to participate, you must have completed any of the arcs of the story Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire that I gather quite early. I also remind you that you will only be able to get these rewards during the Yule Festival, which has already begun and will run until January 7th. You can get a list of goodies available in the Ubisoft post.

Ubisoft previously mentioned that it intends to plan four total seasonal events in the first year of Valhalla, with the next events to fall in the spring, summer and fall of 2021. There is a brief look at them and the DLC programs planned in this trailer.
