Assassin’s Creed Valhalla It is last one game that needed any extra content right now, but this week got something anyway and since I’m still fresh in the game, I thought I’d go back come in and check it out.

These things have come in the form of “River Raids”, a new game mode that adds three new small areas of the map to visit, all in places in the west of the UK that the basic game did not venture never. In fact, “explore” is the wrong word here, because you won’t do almost any of it.

Instead, these new areas are all built around the thin corridors of the river, with the idea that they were designed to take over the monastery attack system of the main game and wrap it, covering the banks of these rivers with farms, military bases and, yes , several monasteries through which to make your way. There are a lot of rivers, a thin strip of land to put these raid targets and that’s about it. Indeed, there is so little land that you can’t even call your horse.

River raids are not something you can do only in the middle of the existing game. Rather, they exist as their own independent game mode, accessible by building two unique structures connected to it in Ravensthorpe, then pressing the option to start one (kind of like going to Vinland).

It’s an interesting concept. River raids should be an endless game, where you can get on your boat and steal some things whenever you want, because even if you burn a site to the ground, it will soon be rebuilt and you can prey on everything again.

My problems with this, however, come from the fact that almost nothing forces you to do that. The only notable one The items available here are a complete set of armor and weapons modeled after St. George, with randomly scattered armor in chests found in military camps and a sword your prize for defeating a “champion” in an overwhelming battle found at the end of the -the third river.

Once all this was found and I only needed 3-4 cruises to do it, I had no interest in getting back on track. We didn’t need the resources that you can exploit by repeatedly raiding in the same locations, and it’s a mistake that many of the raids focus on a certain type of resource – “foreign supplies” – that can only be used to buy cosmetics and upgrades in River Mod Raid (although, if purchased here, you can later apply the cosmetics on your regular ship at least).

There is no story to tell a few short discussions with the mascot and the instigator River Raids Vagnor and, as I said, with the three new maps so small and devoid of anything, apart from raiding the targets, there is little exploration.

Print Screen: The new St. George armor is cute, I think, but it’s also very Templar, and my Eivor wouldn’t have gotten dead in it.

Besides, has the raid never been so much fun? The real strengths of Of Valhalla the gameplay was his stealth encounters, his environmental puzzles and his larger siege battles. The raids felt like a mixture of all three, which failed to meet in all three accounts, and that’s even more so here, because many of these raids are smaller and less interesting.

Indeed, it is sometimes felt that the only reason it exists is to give the navigation a little more time in the spotlight, as it was a little common in the main game (apart from surprise, raids).

Look, River raids it’s a free update, there’s no harm if you try it and see if you’re more interested than me. But more grinding for the sake of grinding is the last thing this game needed.
