Oscar Arturo Nanita said on Monday that his attack on truffles, a French bulldog, was to protect his son.
In an interview with the program El Sol de la Mañana, the man said that the blows on the truffle were due to the fact that the dog was trying to attack his son.
“At that moment I lost my mind because an event like the one that happened never happened. The boy crying and the dog above him and I take him out and she came back,” Nanita said.
He said that as a child he had animals and that such a thing had never happened to him.
“Since I was little I’ve had about 15 dogs and, of the same breed, I have another that is at my son’s house. Many of my friends bought me from the bedding I had. Something like this didn’t work for me. it never happened, it’s the worst thing that ever happened to me, “he said
He stated that he was not an aggressive person and that he had acted badly.
“I admit that I lost my mind because I love my son, I lost my mind and there was my room and my action. I don’t justify what I did, I know it was wrong,” he said.
He stressed that the Animal Protection Unit would call him for a psychological evaluation and said he was willing to take the test.
His lawyer, Enrique Vallejo, said he showed up at Animal Protection on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. to take responsibility and continue the investigation, but the prosecutor was absent.
“There is a media trial, we are real and we are aware of what happened,” said the lawyer.
Vallejo added that after what happened, he had to start a trial, because Nanita admits her guilt.
