Arrow’s next setup, Green Arrow & Canaries, was officially focused on The CW

It had been a long time since fans had heard anything about the proposed, future set Arrow would be a spinoff The Green Arrow and the Canaries – And now we know why. The network decided not to move forward with the series, which would have followed the daughter of Oliver and Felicity Mia in a future version of Star City, along with several other heroes today.

The report comes via TV Line, which notes that the spinoff is no longer in dispute to be taken over in series. The show would have played Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy, repeating Arrow roles a few decades before the rest Arrowverse in 2040. No explanation was given as to why the project was focused, although the network, of course, does not have a lot of super-shows already in the works.

A backdoor pilot for the proposed spinoff aired a year ago, marking a season high in rating for Arrowlast season (not including The crisis on the Infinite Lands crossover, of course). But this was not enough to attract the network to keep the far corner of Arrowlyrics around more. But there’s a bit of a silver lining for fans wondering how the rear pilot’s cliffhangers could have been played. Producer Marc Guggenheim has previously said he will work to answer these hanging questions in other ways (i.e. through time travel. Tomorrow’s legends, or even a comic book that concludes the story).

In case you’re a little rusty (a year has passed since the episode aired), the rear pilot ended up with Mia’s brother, William, being abducted by a shadow figure – and after William played a key role ArrowLast season – fans are certainly curious about his fate in the future.

Although fans will surely be bothered by this The Green Arrow and the Canaries it doesn’t go any further, there are many more Arrowcontent of lyrics on the road. flash returns, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Superman and Lois and Tomorrow’s legends they will all return in the coming months.
