Florida police arrested the attacker who was photographed Wednesday during the assault on the Capitol and while saluting the camera, he was carrying the lectern of the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
Adam Christian Johnson, 36, was booked shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday and is being held under federal warrant pending trial, according to prison records, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
In addition to the viral photo on the lectern, Johnson also broadcast a video live on Facebook as he walked the halls of the Capitol. His Facebook page was later removed.
Johnson lives in Parrish with his wife and five children, according to the Bradenton Herald and was searched and imprisoned for two days after being identified by his neighbors as the man who stole Pelosi’s lectern and played in one of the most iconic images of the assault on the Capitol.
Last Friday, another visible head of the crowd entering Congress was arrested: the man photographed at Pelosi’s office, identified as Richard Barnett and from Arkansas, in the town of Little Rock, in his state of origin.
Barnett, whose photo also went ‘viral’ on Pelosi’s desk, has been accused of knowingly entering and staying in a restricted-access building without permission, violent burglary and scandalous behavior on Capitol grounds, and theft of public property, according to television network CNN. reported.
