The first weekend of dance clubs and bars being completely open, without restrictions.
“Get out early, we’ve been doing things all day,” says one club player.
The events appeared on holidays, some with a clear message. An event called “F COVID” taking place in Paris, Scottsdale, has a leaflet that states, without masks, without social distancing and maximum capacity. People lined up there from 6:30 pm on Friday night.
“Being outside, being with people, celebrating and not having masks,” says another club.
People who receive a stand or a table will be allowed to dance with their groups. The promoter who hosts the weekend event, Luciano Cota, says that a long time has passed.
“For our own government to open the city and allow us to do what we do, that is, to bring people together, to bring people to have fun and party. You know, a week of work and then you’ll finally get back to a fully open club, I haven’t had that in over a year. Probably that supported us to go like that, to go on that route “, says Luciano Cota, Surge Nights, event management.
Cota says an event he has for Sunday is already sold out. This pushes many to plan their weekend plans early.
“Emotion, relief, especially when it comes to mental health and getting back to being social, interacting with people and getting back to normal, like living life,” says Scottsdale resident Paris Prynkiewicz.
Richard Schmitz says he recently moved to Scottsdale, this will be the first time he sees it fully open.
“I can’t wait to go out, see my friends move to new places, check out the scene and start living my life again, a year has passed,” says Richard Schmitz, a Scottsdale resident.
Although people celebrate, there will still be some adherences, but taking precautions.
“I think it just depends on people. There are some people who believe in COVID, some people who don’t believe,” says Cota.
