Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray returns after ankle injury against Los Angeles Rams

Arizona Cardinals defender Kyler Murray returned to Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams to begin the fourth quarter after coming out early in the first quarter with a right ankle injury.

Back-up Chris Streveler took Murray’s place until he returned with 14:25 left in the game, with the Cardinals down 18-7.

Murray left the game after suffering an injury to a sack of Rams defensive back Morgan Fox with 12:14 of the first. Murray limped up and went straight to the locker room. Eventually, he returned to the field, tried to get out of the accident and was evaluated in the blue tent for injury, but went back to the locker room.

Murray rebuilt his left ankle and warmed up after returning to the sidelines, but did not play until the fourth quarter.

Murray spent time in and out of the locker room in the first half and at the beginning of the third quarter. Streveler took Murray’s place and threw a touchdown on his first drive, but the offense didn’t go far beyond that.

Murray suffered a “lower leg” injury, according to coach Kliff Kingsbury, in the final seconds of last week’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and said this week that he was “feeling well.”
