Arizona adds 21,000 COVID-19 vaccine meetings at Phoenix Municipal Stadium: How to book

PHOENIX – Another 21,000 meetings will be available for registration starting Wednesday at the COVID-19 vaccination site at Phoenix ASU Municipal Stadium, the Arizona Department of Health said on Tuesday.

Registration will open on Wednesday, February 3 at 9:00. Appointments will be available Friday, Feb. 5 through Thursday, Feb. 18, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for priority Arizona residents, including respondents, health care workers and those 65 and older, the state said.

Appointments can be made at podvaccine.azdhs.gov. To find a vaccination center near you, visit azhealth.gov/findvaccine

Last week, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed an executive order to hopefully step up the state’s vaccination efforts and make more vaccines available. However, the problem was the number of vaccines the state could receive.

To date, according to ADHS, more than 702,000 doses of vaccine have been administered to more than 579,000 Arizonans, of whom 109,000 have received both doses.

“We know the vaccine is in high demand and we expect appointments to fill up quickly,” said ADHS Director Dr. Cara Christ. “Building on the success of the State Farm Stadium site, we are able to quickly replicate these sites to add capacity when we receive the vaccine. Our only limiting factor is the amount of vaccine we receive from our federal partners. ”
