“Approve the steak when there are no more cows”

Comedian Alexis Valdés composed a few tenths before the new measure decreed by the Cuban government, which approves the sale of meat from small and large animals to agricultural producers.

The sale of beef, something that has been banned in the country for decades.

Then we reproduce the lyrics of Alexis Valdés in full:

It is now legal in my country
sell beef
The problem is now
that we must wage another war
And there bitch bitch
he gets sick and weakens
This is not rocking the hammock
because imagine
which now approves the steak
when there are no more cows.

On Tuesday night, the Cuban government announced in the National Television News that approved the sale of beef by farmers, directly in the retail network of the national currency and the freely convertible currency.

“What we have proposed is meant to promote food production in the immediate term, on the concept of opening everything that can favor the producer, stimulate production, remove obstacles and that a better diet reaches our people,” said the leader Cuban Miguel Díaz- Canel.

The Government has also indicated that the sale of the product can be carried out as long as it is guaranteed that there is no decrease in the mass of the animals.

The free sale of milk and its derivatives will also be authorized.

This measure is part of an emerging package of 63 measures to increase critical food production that the country has been going through for some time, including reducing electricity and water tariffs to farmers, lowering the payment of aviation agricultural service, and the price of national feed of geo-products.
