SF. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – There are no appointments available to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from St. Louis County. Johns at this time, county officials announced Sunday.

Officials said the rest of St. Louis County’s limited initial vaccine allocation. Johns is assigned to those on the waiting list prepared by the Department of Health, while the county is waiting for a second transport of vaccine from the state.

Once St. Johns receives a new vaccine allocation, a registration system will be launched for residents to make an appointment to receive a first dose of vaccine. Appointments will only be available to health workers and those aged 65 and over.

Deputies limited the line overnight, so only the first 250 in the line were guaranteed to receive the vaccine. Everyone else was removed. In addition, cars lined up in the parking lot of the county government complex instead of the US 1.

“As hectic as this has been, we now have a little peace of mind,” Tim Willits, who arrived on Saturday at 6 p.m., told News4Jax on Sunday.

Conrad said the slots for Monday were already occupied by the 200 people on the health department’s waiting list. The health department said that once these people are vaccinated, it will be the end of the department’s initial distribution of 3,000 vaccines.
