Apple company. (NASDAQ: AAPL) on Tuesday unveiled the long-awaited AirTag product and also announced product and new service updates at its Spring Unloaded event.

Munster says Apple launches add 3% to Topline: Although individually the ads do not do much to move Apple’s top line, overall they are significant and could add a 3% increase to overall revenue, Loup Ventures managing partner Gene Munster said in a note.

Price changes suggest that demand for the Mac and iPad remains favorable and margins are likely to remain higher, he said.

The revised iMac boasts a slim design, added color, better cameras, microphones and speakers for Zoom calls and a Touch ID keyboard option, Munster said.

Apple is using the color-as-a-feature argument to raise the price by $ 200, especially for the yellow, orange and purple models, which is good for the edges, he said.

The iPad Pro is now more of a Mac than an iPad and, with the right keyboard, offers the flexibility of both a laptop and a tablet, Munster said.

He believes that AirTags can be a “nap”.

Over the next five years, AirTag will become a must-have and will eventually account for 1% -2% of total revenue, he said.

Air Tag will differentiate itself from Tile, the tracking device currently available on the market with better navigation and discovery features, along with a network of more than 1 billion devices that can be used to locate lost objects, Munster said.

Podcast subscriptions are a significant announcement, given that Apple now has the first global podcast market, Munster said. Apple is likely to adopt a small-scale subscription rate model, keeping 30% in the first year and 15% in the following years, he said.

Although not significant in terms of revenue, it is an important category to maintain leadership as podcasts will play an increasing role in the lives of consumers, according to managing partner Loup Ventures.

Apple Podcast Excite Needham Subscription: Of all the new hardware introductions, Apple’s new podcast subscriptions excite Needham the most, analyst Laura Martin said in a note.

Podcast subscriptions are a better premium product that suits Apple’s core consumers and has the potential to reduce the amount of Apple devices by 100%, the analyst said.

The product adds a new global marketplace that can be addressed, while adding a new stream of subscription revenue and a clustering opportunity, she said.

Apple should be appreciated as an ecosystem company with its seamless integration of hardware, software and content, Martin said.

“Proprietary content integrated into LPAL devices reduces customer acquisition costs and reduces costs and maximizes the value of life in the LPAL ecosystem, we believe.”

Good airline labels for location, tracking technology, Roth says: Key announcements included the long-awaited AirTags, the debut of 5G on the iPad and microLEDs on Liquid Retina HDR screens, Roth Partners analyst Scott Searle said in a note.

“Although there is no land, we believe that AirTags are necessary for the development of the location and the tracking ecosystem,” said the analyst.

LTE Cat M or NB IoT solutions are a natural extension for Apple and other consumer electronics vendors to further evolve the technology, the analyst said.

The debut of 5G iPads is indicative of an increasingly connected economy, according to Needham.

What’s changing with Apple’s iOS 14.5? Apple announced at the event iOS 14.5, which will be made available to consumers starting April 26, MKM Partners analyst Rohit Kulkarni said in a note.

“Apple’s Tracking Transparency privacy policy, which includes a set of policies on how consumer data can be used to target and measure advertising, will be implemented in iOS 14.5,” the analyst said.

All apps will need to ask a user for permission to track them or access their device’s ad ID, he said.
