Apple fans are obsessed with the wonderful hack of the TikToker iPhone – BGR

  • A recently unearthed iPhone hack shows how users can quickly rearrange multiple applications on the home screen simultaneously.
  • The smart trick makes it easier for people to set up their iPhone the way they want.

Being an avid iPhone user for over a decade, I don’t usually come across iPhone tips and tricks I’ve never encountered before. And sure, new tricks and workarounds inevitably come to the surface every time Apple introduces a new iteration of iOS, but these discoveries are usually discovered slowly but surely during the beta release.

But, every time on a blue moon, a new trick will come out of nowhere and throw me. And today, friends, is one of those days. The latest example comes to us through TikTok from all places. The trick in question provides an incredibly efficient way for users to move applications en masse to a completely different screen of the phone. The tip is a rescue tool for anyone who wants to reorganize the look of their iPhone or iPad.

Say, for example, that you want to move 8 apps from the Home screen to the second apps page on your device. Normally, tap down on an app and select the “Edit home screen” option from the context menu. Once the apps have started moving, you should manually drag each app, one at a time, from the home screen to the second page of the apps. Needless to say, this can quickly become tiring, especially if you’re trying to move apps from the Home screen to, say, the fifth page of apps on your iPhone.

However, this iPhone trick allows you to select multiple applications at once and move them to another page at once. Here’s how it works.

To get started, tap and hold an application icon until the context menu appears. From there, select the “Edit Home Screen” selection. Once the apps start moving, tap down on an app you want to move to another page and gently move it in any direction. You will want to make sure you keep your finger pressed on the app at all times. From there, with your finger still on the screen, tap the other finger and simply tap any other app you want to move to another page. After you do this, you will see that each newly touched app is directed to the location of the first app icon. You may appear to be adding all applications to a folder, but this is not the case.

Once you’ve selected each app you want to move, drag the app’s icon collection to the right or left, depending on which page you want to move it to. Once you do this, all selected applications will reappear on the new page.
