Spring is here, full of chirping birds, bright cherry blossoms and soon new iPads and iMacs. The first big Apple event of 2021 is scheduled for Tuesday, when the tech giant is expected to offer a series of conservative tablet updates along with major software updates for its iPads and iPhones. There are also rumors about the company displays new iMac computers, powered by a variant of the company’s new internal M1 chips. And we might even see the long-rumored AirTags tracking accessories.
The event is being transmitted via the Apple website as part of its digital advertising strategy, amid the coronavirus pandemic, which has caused waves of blockages around the world. Virtual ad presentations have allowed Apple to stick to its spring, summer and fall event schedule. In 2020, as pandemic has taken over, Apple has launched its World Developers Conference only online, with easily edited videos, which adds to the typical stage presentation format for its June event. This year WWDC, scheduled to begin on June 7, will also be online only.

It is announced that upcoming spring announcements will focus on the speed of the iPad and its screens. Apple expects to upgrade the chips that power iPads and introduce a new display technology called mini-LED, which display manufacturers say offers improved energy efficiency and better brightness. It is rumored that Apple will bring its MacBook laptops and iMac desktops to technology even later. Modern iPhones use OLED screens, which are considered high quality, but usually cost more money.

Along with iPads, Apple expects to announce plans to deliver iOS 14.5, a major software update that offers new emojis, ways to unlock a phone with the Apple Watch instead of the face, and major privacy changes. The new software, which will be available as a free download, will require applications to request permission to use tracking technology that collects user information across various applications and websites.
Facebook has especially criticized Apple’s new initiative, called Transparency of application tracking, saying it will increase advertising costs. To support its case, Facebook ran ads in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the Washington Post to argue against the movement. Apple has said it plans to release iOS 14.5 in the coming weeks.

The tech giant can also offer completely new products, which are rumored to be called AirTags. The devices are small trackers that you can attach to backpacks, purses, toys or anything else, so you can locate them using the iPhone’s “Find My” application. Samsung beat Apple on the market with its $ 40 SmartTag devices, announced in January. Other companies produce similar devices, including Tile and TrackR.
