Apex Legends Nintendo Switch File size revealed

After months of teasing, Respawn Entertainment finally revealed last week that Apex Legends will land on the Nintendo Switch in early March. The announcement eventually brought relief to many who were waiting for a certain release date, but as we get closer to that moment, others began to wonder how much space they would need to make on the Switch to install it. Well, fortunately, it seems we now have our answer.

The official page of the game for Apex Legends The Nintendo website was recently updated to reveal that the Battle Royale shooter will require a huge 30 GB of space on the console. Although usually not very large on other consoles, such as the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, it takes up almost all of the Switch’s internal memory. Although this file size seems to be quite specific, there may be an error with it.

On the Nintendo Switch website in the UK, it was noticed at one point in recent days that Apex Legends it only had a file size of about 15 GB. This is obviously much better compared to what the US site currently looks like, but it looks like this 15 GB size might be incorrect. The page was later deleted, and the file size with it has since disappeared. As such, it looks like 30 GB could be the actual size of the download.

All of this simply says that if you haven’t made room on the Nintendo Switch in a while, well, now might be a good time to do so if you want to grab Apex Legends next month. However, if you did not update the Switch with an external memory card, you could purchase one at any time. Micro SD cards are usually not very expensive and allow you to double the size of the Switch’s storage without having to break the bank.

As for when Apex Legends actually launches on the Switch, the game will finally arrive next month on March 9th. As this date gets closer and closer, we will be sure to keep you updated with the Switch version of the game, if new developments occur.

So what do you think about the size of this file? You will be frustrated if Apex Legends end up taking up so much space? Be sure to tell me your thoughts either in the comments below or on Twitter at @ MooreMan12.
