Apex Legends Adding a much sought after feature in season 8

It would seem that Apex Legends will finally receive an in-game damage tracker when season 8 is released for the title, which is expected to happen in February. If you are unfamiliar, while the game keeps track of eliminations and presents some statistics at the end of a match, there is currently no way to determine the damage that has been done during an ongoing match. However, this will soon be a thing of the past.

Apex Legends design director Jason McCord initially indicated that the much-sought in-game damage tracker will arrive with a new patch next week, but has since revised that statement. The in-game damage tracker didn’t make it to the next patch, according to McCord, but it should be present at the launch of season 8. You can check out what he had to say when asked about a damage tracker on Twitter below:

Overall, it continues to look like the coming seasons will be massive Apex Legends. “Season 8 is perfecting to be amazing, it’s wonderful,” Apex Legends said game director Chad Grenier earlier this month. “And, you know, he worked almost entirely from home. Season 9 will not lie, it will also be wonderful […] Season 9 will see some major things you don’t expect. “

Apex Legends is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC and is in the middle of season 7 – Ascension. Right now, season 8 is expected to launch in February 2021. You can check out all of our previous coverage of the popular video game right here.
