Another police officer commits suicide due to family problems at his home in Santa Ana News from El Salvador

The policeman was stationed at the Texistepeque police station. He committed suicide at his home in Santa Ana. As of January, only three police officers had committed suicide by shooting themselves with their team’s weapons.

A police officer stationed in Texistepeque, identified as 52-year-old César Adonay Sanabria, committed suicide at 9:30 p.m. last Saturday at his home, according to police sources.

Sanabria was stationed at the Texistepeque police sub-delegation in the Santa Ana department, where he was known as El Mágico. The incident took place at the police officer’s house, located in the Bella Vista neighborhood.

With this suicide, there are six cases of police elements who took their lives on November 28 last year. In most cases, according to police sources, the suicides were preceded by family arguments.

So far, only in January, three police officers have committed suicide by shooting themselves with their team’s weapons.

Another case is being investigated as alleged suicide. This is that of an officer who was hospitalized for poisoning, after leaving without permission the police institutions where he was assigned.

Case by case for the last two months

On November 28, José Abraham Morales Lara, unleashed in the San Salvador Sur (San Marcos) delegation, shot himself with his team’s weapon after arguing with his partner.

On December 15, Víctor Hugo Alfaro Paula, stationed at Comalapa airport, shot himself in the head with his team’s weapon, after an argument over family issues.

On December 28, Agent Gustavo Ernesto Mejía Rosales, who, while intoxicated, was shot in the heart. This agent was stationed in the Candelaria de la Frontera subdelegation, Santa Ana department.

Then, on January 3, Sergeant Fredy Ernesto Flores Guzmán, 52, decided to commit suicide at his home in Ciudad Delgado, after he had problems with his wife and she filed for divorce.

On January 8, the suicide of Corporal Jorge Alberto Renderos was reported. This item was presented to the Technical and Scientific Police Division (DPTC) in the San Francisco neighborhood.
