Another 71 COVID-19 deaths, 1,425 positive cases reported in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa Department of Public Health reported another 71 COVID-19 deaths and 1,425 more cases on Thursday.

As of 10:30 a.m., state data show that a total of 272,444 owani have tested positive for the virus and 3,739 owani have died since the pandemic began.

Of the Yowans who died of the virus, 3,433 listed COVID-19 as the leading cause of death and 306 listed COVID-19 as a contributing factor.

In addition, state data show that a total of 224,821 Yowans have recovered from COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

According to the data provided by the state, 4,598 tests were reported in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of tests performed to 1,332,941. According to these data, the positivity rate in the last 24 hours was 31 percent.

Currently, a total of 625 Yowani are hospitalized with COVID-19, of which 106 have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours. There are 127 people in the UI and 70 fans.
