On Wednesday morning, the Public Health Department (DPH) in El Paso announced the death of another 41 people due to complications caused by Covid-19, in addition to the registration of 182 new infections.
Health officials said the 41 deaths on this day correspond to 15 women and 26 men between the ages of 30 and 90; all had basic health problems, it was reported.
However, DPH pointed out that the deaths did not occur in a single day, but over a period of seven months.
Also, 26 more cases were revealed that are part of the delayed local results issued by the state to the Department of Public Health.
The results come from tests performed in weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of 2021 at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are currently in week 7.
These figures show a cumulative total of 120,205 positive cases, of which 110,766 have recovered and 7,519 remain active, according to the Public Health Department (DPH) in El Paso.
To date, 389 patients receive medical care in hospitals in the area, 151 of them in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 103 connected to respirators or artificial ventilators.
