And Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is number 2. Again.
Another week, another triumph for Nintendo in the British charts.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is again No. 1 for the fourth time this year, despite a 13% drop in sales. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe remains in 2nd place for the second week in a row, with a 1% drop in sales.
It was almost a Nintendo top three, but Ring Fit Adventure missed third place with just 52 units. Fitness game sales rose 34% week-on-week, but failed to overturn Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which held despite an 8% drop in sales.
The only significant new boxed game to come out this year (so far) is Hitman 3, and that game is now down to number 17, with a 54% slip in weekly sales.
There was a new game in the charts and this is Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthbound at no. 36. The game was published by Maximum Games in the UK.
It’s a pretty quiet start to the year for the gaming market, but there’s a significant new game coming next week in the form of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury for the Nintendo Switch. This game will definitely be the best selling boxing game this time next week.
